![]() ![]() According to their Boating Hanbook undr ?Vessel Length Classes? it says ?length is measured from tip of bow in srtaight nine to stern. Joed ? thanks for the measuring tip but confusing when looking at fee charges and measured differently by Michigan DNR. Tashasdaddy ? the hull ID on this is on the Inside Transom, on this one and on the Port side ? it reads from top to bottom: Re: Mon Ark OR Monarch ? Model doesn't exist? What the H*** did I just buy? Augh! I know I could have saved a thousand words with a pic ? but appreciate any help you guys could offer to a boating newbie trying to learn by doing my first boat refurbish project.Īny help with specs ? how much weight it can handle, will an old 30 hp Johnson will be enough to push it, how many ppl can I take fishing, limits, what was the original layout, etc.Īlthough I thought it was solid when I bought it, there are a couple places near the stern that sag and sound like I?m walking on rice crispies ? so it looks like I?ll be doing a lot of searches and reading about replacing the floor. The deck extends from stern to bow for 8? and steps up about 6? to accommodate bow curvature with another approximately 4? platform with a pedestal mounted in the center for trolling. Starboard side had raised fiberglass pedestal mounted about 2? forward of the stern, screw holes for where I assume the controls were mounted directly in front, and then another small storage compartment about 12? x 18?. It?s completely open from Bow to stern, with a fiberglass storage box on the port side about 12?x 4?. I get everything from Noah?s Ark to a contortionist Arching her back ? but no boat.įorgive my lack of natical terminology - but I'll try my best to describe it. The Model says Mark I (not sure if it roman number 1, or capital ?I?, but when I Google it ? I get ?No Results? for keywords Monark Mark 1, as it says on the transom tag. The serial number is 64320 if that helps. So unless I have a magically shrinking boat hull ? it?s wrong too.Īre there to different manufactures with Mon Ark vs Monarch? It gets better - on the sign and the seller said verbally it was made in ?79, but the registration doesn?t have a year shown, and on the bill of sale had hand written ?unknown? as year. On registration says 15? as advertized by the seller ? but my tape measure says 14?. Here?s the problem ? On the hand written bill of sale ? says Monark, but on registration says Monarch. ![]() I bought it a couple days ago when a friend told me about what he thought was an aluminum boat, got a descent price since the trailer was worth it by itself so Bought it anyway. I posted the question a couple days ago as I just joined this forum looking for answers to refurbishing an old bass boat but never had any replies, other than someone that suggested using it as a giant flower pot if it was an old boat that used wood under glass as subfloor or in transom? A year supply of thank yous goes to the winner. That little round thing is an old dehumidifier that acts as a seat until I figure out the mounting. Please help me identify this mystery fiberglass tri-hull? I don?t have a way to upload a pic right this second but I can describe the hull and would appreciate any help. One on the bow and the other near the stern when i'm steering the boat. Lastly I have a balance disability so I'm trying to devise a way to mount two "Walkers" in the boat. Drop in some ice and keep the water cool and the fish alive. I converted a 30 gallon Igloo cooler into my live well with a aerator. WE try and keep our Bass alive till weigh in and warm water and Florida heat will cook any fish in a short time. I use LED magnetic trailer lights as I've learned those 'waterproof" lights aren't always waterproof. I mounted my depth finder transponder to make it portable and not to drill more holes in my transom. I may power up to a 25 to 30 hp as I fish two other clubs. I belong to a Jon Boat Club that only allows up to a 16 foot boat and 15 hp motors or just use the trolling motor as many members do. I added a 15 hp outboard and a 55lb thrust trolling motor to get around with. ![]() I lined everything up and screwed them in place on the wood stringers. I chose to use white plastic lattice as it won't rot, doesn't get hot, it is lightweight and its durable. When a level was placed across the stringers and the wood, they were even. I cut the 2x4's in 4 foot lengths then cut the plywood in 3 inch x 4 foot strips, sprayed them with Johnson Water Seal and screwed them on top of the 2x4's. I bought treated 2x4's and 3/8 inch plywood. The interior had a non-slip coating applied to it but I'd be tripping over the stringers so I chose to add a floor. I needed to upgrade because the 14 foot jon boat I was using was too small for me. Recently I purchased a 16 foot Jon boat for $900. ![]()
